The STE Review Prediction Issue

With local elections coming up this weekend and Philip pontificating like he knows what he's talking about, we thought we'd take a look at some of Philip's past "predictions"

BISD:

The Southeast Texas Political Review has learned that according to sources close to the investigation of BISD that "indictments will be announced any day now."

The announcement may come as early as next Monday or Tuesday.
"They are ready - they are writing it up," said the source.

It is game over for those that wanted to change the balance of power at the Beaumont Independent School District. And the Review has learned - as well as the media is reporting this morning that only 3900 good signatures were gathered. They needed over 10,000. And they did not get them. And the issue is OVER.

As well - the Review has learned that the US Attorney's office will be making a statement next week regarding this matter - according to our sources in the Federal Government.

The Beaumont Enterprise:

"I have been told that if drastic measures are not taken here we will be out of business in the next 60 days," said one employee of the Enterprise that demanded anonymity.

Sources inside the Beaumont Enterprise tell the Review that the gong is getting ready to be rung. According to our sources - layoffs, non-hiring and a "drop dead" day for the Beaumont Enterprise has been given to management.

Local Population figures:

Did you hear that the census might have Beaumont at a 11.1% decrease in population...oh never mind that is another story.

A mere ten years ago - Jefferson County had a population of almost 23,000 more people. In the last ten years - according to census figures - the population has dropped by? Well 23,000 people including families, individuals, part time workers and high school graduates.

Hardin County District Attorney:

The SET Political Review has obtained copies of over 800 cases that have had to be re-filed in Hardin County by County Attorney Sheffield. The Review has also obtained copies of over 2,000 cases under investigation for the lack of filing the "Informational" as prescribed by Texas Law.
