Jefferson County Corruption has once again reared its ugly head, this time causing untold amounts of grief to.........yes........children. Sources confirmed that corrupt politicos are responsible for the closure of the Nederland Municipal Pool early this week.
"It was corruption." Said a caller to the Review late last night.
The Review has learned that Jefferson County Corruption clogged the impeller of the pump that controls the pool's filtering system causing one of the bearing systems to fail. "Its no big deal." Said Carl Spackler, head of maintenance for the City of Nederland. "I can fix it."
The corruption was quick to destroy the lives of local children. "I was going to have my birthday party there." Said Johnny Sinclikastone. "But now we're going to Chuck E Cheese. That's cool too." Nine year old Tommy Icannaswin and his friend Ned R. Cani told the Review that they would rather go to the beach anyway.
In an effort to identify the specific kind of corruption that fouled the pool equipment, Nederland officials have hired, Philip r. Klein and The Team to Call When You Really Need to Know, to get to the bottom of the matter.
Klein has set up a website at www.whatbrokethepoolthingee.com to try and track hits that will lead to the corruption.
You bet we will watch this one.
