Tragedy struck Nederland, Texas today as two local politicians committed suicide. John Bernard, and Randy Sonnier, both candidates for the Nederland City Council, were found dead early this morning at the Pleasure Island Golf Course by a golfer playing through to the next hole.
"It was terrible." Said someone standing nearby. " I've never seen anything like it."
Authorities found a simple note written on the ground next to the bodies that read: "NOOOOO! Not him!"
Investigators believe that the candidates became distraught over learning that Philip r. Klein, editor of the SET Political Review had endorsed the two and had in fact placed political signs in his front yard.
"They were very upset when they found out that Philip was supporting them." Said an anonymous source who called the Review late last night. "John turned pale white and Randy just walked around babbling in French...He doesn't speak French"
Calls to Philip Klein's cell phone were answered by an irate voice claiming that he was not going to show us a good time and that he knew our IP address and would be over shortly.
